Job summary

This role is a for a Admissions Clerk working nights on a part time basis based in the Women's and Children's Hospital at Doncaster Royal Infirmary. Full training will be given before you work your shift alone . We are looking for someone who is able to work confidently alone but be part of a well established team of staff that provide Administrative duties 24 hours a day , 7 days a week.

You need to be able to deal with sensitive and sometimes difficult situations while providing an admin role which includes admitting and discharging patients , collecting notes for emergency admissions , and other related admin duties . You will need to demonstrate a positive attitude , be able to self motivate as this is a nights role , be confident and be a clear communicator and is patient focused at all times .

Main duties of the job

This is a position covering nights on a 4 week rolling rota , averaging about 21 hours per week . The shifts start around 10pm and can finish between 7.30 am - 7.45 am this would be discussed at interview and a rota will be shown .

We need someone who is a forward thinker , can work effectively alone , provide a efficient service to the Nursing Teams , and also deal with patient enquiries both on the phone and face to face . The candidate must be a competent and confident communicator

You must be able to show accuracy and attention to detail in your previous work experience.
